About Us
Mink’d Effect is more than just a beauty studio—it’s a space rooted in faith, resilience, and empowerment. Founded by Jamila Teasley, a Cincinnati-based licensed esthetician and certified lash technician, Mink’d Effect offers top-tier mink eyelash extensions, lash and body products, and professional training for aspiring beauty entrepreneurs. Known as a “one-stop shop,” the studio provides services like body sculpting, hair removal, post-op treatments, beard treatments, and sells popular items like lash supplies, fajas, detox teas, and the signature BarBye Cream.
Jamila’s journey into the beauty industry began at age 21 while working in healthcare and attending nursing school. Her passion for helping others feel beautiful started with a simple lash lesson from a mentor and quickly turned into a life-changing career. After facing a traumatic pregnancy complication and job loss, Jamila leaned on her faith and family support to take a leap of faith—turning her part-time lash work into a full-time purpose.
Starting in her home, Jamila quickly grew her client base and found a studio space through Craigslist that she still proudly operates from today. She went on to earn her esthetician license from Moler Beauty School and has since built a thriving brand known for its quality, professionalism, and calming environment.
Beyond her services, Jamila is passionate about education and mentorship, offering both 1-on-1 and group lash training courses designed to empower the next generation of lash artists and beauty professionals. Her mission is to help others not only look good—but feel confident, supported, and equipped to chase their dreams.
Jamila's entrepreneurial spirit was evident even in childhood, from knitting scarves with her great-grandmother to owning gumball machines and delivering newspapers. Her faith in God, coupled with determination and dedication, continues to drive the success of Mink’d Effect.
At Mink’d Effect, clients can expect high-quality services, a welcoming atmosphere, and a personal touch that reflects Jamila’s deep commitment to her craft—and to every person who walks through her doors.
